My name is Christina Doxa, and I live in Athens, Greece. I am a self-taught painter who began creating art shortly after the pandemic, as a deeply personal need for expression and reconnection with myself. I primarily work with acrylics and mixed media, allowing instinct and experimentation to lead my creative process. Through my art, I explore themes of identity, inner contrasts, and feminine expression. I’m drawn to bold colors and clean lines, taking inspiration from Cubism and contemporary pop aesthetics. Each piece is an attempt to capture emotions and thoughts that are often difficult to articulate with words.
Woman
The piece I’m exhibiting is titled Woman (2021, acrylic on canvas, 37,5X52,5 cm.). It speaks to the complexity of identity and the inner world — the constant balancing act between opposites: light and shadow, action and stillness, public image and private experience.
