Vladyslav Sliusariev
Vladyslav Sliusariev (@Hvrenja) is a Ukrainian scientist and artist. Having left Donetsk (south-east of Ukraine) in 2014 and abandoned and scientific carrier, his further activity focused on the field of visual art and translations. His Instagram account, created at the time to fill the pages of a refugee NGO with visual content has became a diary of this now more than eleven years long journey. The last stop for now in the last 3 years is Geneva, Switzerland.

Geneva, a city both international and Calvinist, and one that has experienced iconoclasm, is very specific in its visual representation. So minimalist that you can go for years in front of supermarkets without even noticing it. Although all the modern trends are present, you will never know where they’re hiding. In the Lightbox, I turn to Op Art in its representation of purely scientific visual minimalism as a direct aesthetic impact.
