Artist Statement – Shivani

My name is Shivani, and I am an emerging painter with a deep-rooted passion for the natural world — especially the quiet majesty of forests and the enduring wisdom of trees. As I begin my journey as an artist, I use acrylic paint to explore and express the beauty, mystery, and serenity I find beneath the canopy.

Forests have always spoken to me — their layered greens, textured bark, shifting shadows, and the silent stories held in every branch and root. With each brushstroke, I aim to translate that sense of wonder onto canvas. I am drawn not only to what trees look like, but to how they feel: grounded, alive, and timeless.

Though I am still growing in my craft, my aspiration is to create paintings that invite others to pause and reconnect with the natural rhythms we often overlook. My work is a reflection of my admiration for nature’s resilience and quiet strength — a tribute to the forests that have always felt like home.

This is just the beginning, but it is a beginning full of heart, color, and intention.

Happines of  Autumn Trees by Shivani

“Happiness of Autumn Trees” is a tribute to the season of letting go and transformation — but also to the quiet joy nature continues to offer, even in its impermanence.

This painting captures the warm, almost magical essence of an autumn walk through a forest dressed in its fiery cloak. With rich shades of red, orange, and ochre, the canvas breathes the joy and calm of nature in its golden season. A gently winding path invites the viewer to step into the scene — to take a walk among the trees, beneath falling leaves, in a world where silence and beauty meet.

The trees, boldly rendered with expressive brushstrokes, seem to dance in the rhythm of the autumn breeze. In the distance, small silhouettes — perhaps people or birds — add a sense of serenity and depth to the moment. The use of acrylic paint brings texture and dimension, especially in the foliage that feels almost touchable.
