I have practiced ceramics for many years, my work is inspired by the diversity of nature, memory of childhood spent exploring the mysteries of the family garden. My sculptures are modelled in ceramic and coloured with slips and enamels, they have animal and plant forms, different entities coexist without distinction of hierarchy making new solidarities emerge in reinvented or reversed plays of scales, the small becomes big and protective, the predator becomes inoffensive and fragile.
These unusually large representations of animals and plants raise questions about our common origins and the various events that have shaped us: who became a plant, who became an animal, who became a human being, what is my role in this long journey, what is my responsibility in maintaining this immense chain of life, what ties us together?
The DIGI HELICON virtual exhibition will allow me to showcase my ecological commitment through artistic practice and to make better use of social networks.
